Hey, have you heard the news?
I have a new website! It's called Cash and Joy and its mission is to increase the awesomeness of the world - of course - through glorious and meaningful marketing.

Why did I focus on marketing? Because marketing can be the most fun and meaningful activity of your business instead of the most dreaded and icky... if you do it right.

Your website has a purpose (or at least it should. If you’re not sure, learn more about defining your website’s purpose) and actions that support that purpose. Let’s make sure the actions work as they’re supposed to.

1. If you list a phone number on your website, dial it from an outside line. Make sure it goes through to the right phone.

2. Fill in every form on your website.

  • Contact forms
  • Subscriptions
  • Comments

3. If you sell anything through the website, make a test purchase. (PayPal allows you to refund purchases with no fee.)

4. If any of these fail, schedule a time (or a tech) to get them fixed. These are the lifeblood of your website, make them a priority!
