Hey, have you heard the news?
I have a new website! It's called Cash and Joy and its mission is to increase the awesomeness of the world - of course - through glorious and meaningful marketing.

Why did I focus on marketing? Because marketing can be the most fun and meaningful activity of your business instead of the most dreaded and icky... if you do it right.

Why Twitter? Find out what Twitter is and why you should care.

1. Go to http://twitter.com/ and click on Sign up now

2. Enter your name and choose a username. A good username:
- Isn’t too long (under 15 characters if possible)
- Has no spaces, but can use hyphens and underscores
- Gives readers an idea of who you are. It can be:

  • Your name, or a short version (@ElizabethPW)
  • Your business name (@zappos)
  • A description of what you do (@snappysentences)
  • Evocative (@iheartmuseums)

3. Put in the password and email address, and fill out the anti-spam Captcha, and click Create my account.

What do you do with it now? Ah, that’s tomorrow’s 5-minute mission, should you choose to accept it!

What username did you choose? Tell us in the comments!

  • Birdy! :>

Good choice and well done on taking these missions and running with them!

Loving the 5 minute missions, really good idea. As most of us work like dogs all day long it's important to break it down into bite size chunks.

    Good job

    Thanks James!

You can share the idea with your readers if you like (but don't call it the 5-minute missions, that's my trademark now! :) )

How about you do it yourself on my site with a guest post?

  • http://www.BeAwesomeOnline.com Catherine Caine

An even better idea! How many words?

    Hee, my first guest post!
