Hey, have you heard the news?
I have a new website! It's called Cash and Joy and its mission is to increase the awesomeness of the world - of course - through glorious and meaningful marketing.

Why did I focus on marketing? Because marketing can be the most fun and meaningful activity of your business instead of the most dreaded and icky... if you do it right.

Say “I love you”

P.S I love you

1. Choose a customer who makes you smile when you think of them.

2. Call, email, tweet, text, write or shout to them. Use the actual phrase “I love you”, not “You’ve got a great team” or “You’re great to work with” or “Thanks mate”.

3. Okay, if you’re uncomfortable with telling a non-spousal adult that you love them, here are some acceptable substitutes:

  • I always look forward to working with you because you bring so much energy to the creative process. I notice (and I’m thrilled) when I realise we have another appointment coming up.
  • Business aside, I really enjoy the time we spend together. You’re a fascinating person to be around.

Dearest Carole, Mike, Birdy, Sandy, Pam, Shana, Amy, Diane, Andrea, Iain, Beth, Dawn, Chris, Eleanor, Judy, Lisa, Susan, Eugen, Rebecca, Kerrie, Laura B, Laura S and Dave: I love you. You are the reason I do this work. Thank you for your comments, your thoughts and your feedback; I hope I can keep working with you for a long time to come.

Who will you be sharing the love with? Tell us in the comments!

    Aww, you're awesome!

I don't think I've told a customer how much I appreciate them in this way. I'm great at asking if they need something from me, but maybe not so great at expressing appreciation for the things they bring to our relationship. I'm going to have to try this.

Let us know how it works! I've always found it to be SUPER DUPER effective.

Love you, too, Catherine. You're one of my inspirations to just Do Stuff!

I IM'd one of the people playing along at my site and told her I love her and her contributions. Woo!

[...] of exceptionally cool people, people I would never have met if I didn’t have this website. I love my readers and quite a few love me back. If I have to explain why that fact alone provides enough motivation [...]
