Hey, have you heard the news?
I have a new website! It's called Cash and Joy and its mission is to increase the awesomeness of the world - of course - through glorious and meaningful marketing.

Why did I focus on marketing? Because marketing can be the most fun and meaningful activity of your business instead of the most dreaded and icky... if you do it right.

Review: Online Business School

Wouldn’t you like to avoid spending huge amounts of time and money on picking the winners out of a huge sea of Stuff on the internet?

Well now you can! Sweet.

We’ll be adding more and more reviews of blogs, products, books and online courses that we love. And a few we want you to avoid!

Online Business School

You’re probably already panicking a little at the cost and I don’t blame you. So was I. The only reason I pulled out my credit card and made the plunge was that I had made a Firm Decision that there was nothing I wanted more than to get out of office work, and I trusted Naomi to provide resources that would help me with that goal. In that way the huge-ass price tag worked for me; after a whole lot of talking about “Wouldn’t it be nice if…” I was putting about 450 Australian dollars on the table and deciding that my future was worth investing in.

What it is: Six non-dodgy methods for making money on the internet, explained in audio and video.
Who it’s for: Anyone who wants to make money on the internet but has no idea how to start.
Who it’s not for: If you already know about affiliates, niche sites, coaching, e-books and such, you’ll get a few useful tips and tweaks but may not feel you’ve gotten value for money.

Is it worth the price?

Yes. I had already done some research into online income but this course pulled everything together.

  • It made all the ideas sound like something I could actually do.
  • There was zero sleaze. (There is a heart-breaking, gorge-rising amount of sleaze in the online marketing community.)
  • It introduced me to the idea of combining income streams. If you’ve got two or three different ways for people to give you money, everyone wins!
  • It’s so engaging and well-presented that I started re-listening to the series in order to write this post and realised that I didn’t have to… because I remembered pretty much all of it. WIN.
  • The technical detail was good for Beginner Me AND Jaded Expert Me.

But wait, there’s more!

Bonuses are standard in electronic offerings and quite a few have butt-loads of boring padding material that no-one uses. These bonuses are relevant and none suck! One-line review of the top three:
30 Hours A Day: The first 2 chapters of this time management course were so good I bought the whole thing.
5-minute de-stress: I listened to these and went, “Meh. Havi has a nice voice but I remain ungrabbed”. However, next time I was stressed I found myself talking through parts of the meditation, so it’s sneakily good.
Writing for the Web: This workbook did nothing for me, but maybe that’s because I’ve been focussed on the subject so long it seemed rudimentary.

The excellent guarantee

Your money back (painlessly) or Naomi will coach you through any difficulties and help you get on track.

One-line review

If you’re serious about making money online this is a must-have resource.

Update: Tragedy!

Naomi is reorganising this course and splitting it out into modules, so you can choose to only learn about affiliate sites, (or physical goods, or coaching) can just choose the module that applies to them. So she has closed down the product for awhile while that happens.

I’ll let you know when the revised version is back online.

Catherine, I just came over here from Sonia’s new place and I want to compliment you on your content. It’s what my new, yet-to-be launched site wants to be when it grows up! Wish I’d read this review of OBS before I just bought it — I already knew too much of it, it turns out, just as you said might happen to some people. I’ve just subscribed to your feed. Thanks! Sandy Lipten
