Hey, have you heard the news?
I have a new website! It's called Cash and Joy and its mission is to increase the awesomeness of the world - of course - through glorious and meaningful marketing.

Why did I focus on marketing? Because marketing can be the most fun and meaningful activity of your business instead of the most dreaded and icky... if you do it right.

Mike Reeves-McMillan and Hypno NZ

Hooray for Showcase Sunday! And all hail Hypno Mike! *womwomwom*

What is your name and website?
Mike Reeves-McMillan, hypno.co.nz. My blog is called Living Skillfully.

Who is your website for and what does it do?
My website is for people who know they want to deal with ways of thinking, feeling or behaving that are holding them back in life, but who don’t know how, and/or who need someone to coach them through the transition. It provides resources and techniques to understand their situation, find a way forward and take it.

What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
That depends on a number of factors – the age and condition of the swallow, the local air density and wind speed, whether the swallow is diving or climbing at the time. But it’s pretty fast, I’ve watched them. And when they dive-bomb cats it’s extra-amusing. Though not for the cats.

How does your website make the world slightly more awesome?
By giving people ways to “get unstuck before they come unglued”, and leading them in the direction of integration and their authentic selves. By helping them see that a) they aren’t bad, stupid or hopeless and b) there is a way to move forward.

What have you learned from Be Awesome Online?
It’s all about finding your Right People and doing everything you do for them.

What do you love most about your website?
That random strangers who I’ll never meet can benefit from what I know just by stumbling across it. That people can find resources there that are genuinely life-changing. That it can be a bridge to build relationships with wonderful people and help them become more wonderful.

Everyone in the world wakes up tomorrow deeply understanding one idea. What is it?
What you pay attention to changes who you are in the world, and you get to choose what to pay attention to.

Thanks, Mike. That was lovely!

Have any questions for him? Tell us in the comments!

“What you pay attention to changes who you are in the world, and you get to choose what to pay attention to.”

I love this. I was reading this and thinking, “This guy’s site sounds cool but I’m not sure if it’s for me.” Then I read that and decided that I was wrong and I clearly need to check it out.

Thanks, Nicole, glad that came across. I’m not just about “your life sucks, now let’s de-suck it”, but that’s where most people start from (and what motivates them to do something).

hi Mike… I was in Auckland for a month earlier this year… if only I’d known you then! Gorgeous city! City of Sales or City of Sails?… I could never work that out…

All Glory To The Hypno Mike.

I look forward to all your new posts, and I still use http://hypno.co.nz/util/decisionalyzer.php
fairly regularly. It’s so much easier than putting all the weighting calculations into a spreadsheet.

I am loving the “sleeper’s checklist”, going to try that!

  • http://hypno.co.nz/blogs Mike Reeves-McMillan

Coolness. I’m glad you’re getting good use out of the Decisionalyzer, that was fun to do.

Sails – more boats per head of population than any other city in the world, I’m told. On a good day, it’s great. On an overcast day… not so much.

Excellent. So far I haven’t found anyone who’s having trouble sleeping who has tried all 2 dozen things on that list.
