Hey, have you heard the news?
I have a new website! It's called Cash and Joy and its mission is to increase the awesomeness of the world - of course - through glorious and meaningful marketing.

Why did I focus on marketing? Because marketing can be the most fun and meaningful activity of your business instead of the most dreaded and icky... if you do it right.

Kathleen Jaffe and Biznicillin

It’s time for the very first ever Showcase Sunday, featuring the bravest of the Awesomes (or at least the fastest typer!), Kathleen.

Best business card ever

What is your name and website?
Kathleen Jaffe at Biznicillin

Who is your website for and what does it do?
My site is for small business owners who want to grow their businesses without turning into icky Big Businesses. It teaches business owners how to deal with problems, how to hire and manage employees, and how to make their businesses efficient and effective, while keeping the personal touch their customers love.

What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
10 meters per second (see? I overdeliver whenever I can)

How does your website make the world slightly more awesome?
I help small businesses get and stay healthy, so they can take over the world.

What have you learned from Be Awesome Online?
Too much to list! But I’ll start with this: the best way to be awesome? Is to be myself in all my quirky, odd glory.

What do you love most about your website?
The design (by Men with Pens), and the logo (by Megan Morris and Marty Whitmore). They rock!

Everyone in the world wakes up tomorrow deeply understanding one idea. What is it?
That all the money in the world can’t make up for an unsatisfying day job.

That was great! Come and say nice things to Kathleen in the comments.

(And if you want to participate in the Showcase, then send an email with the answers to these questions to catherine@beawesomeonline.com)

Seeing as how Kathleen actually gave an answer to this, I realised that I had no idea if that was correct. This disturbed me, so I googled, and found this delightful piece (complete with Monty Python references)

And Kathleen is wicked, even if she was in the quality department ;)

  • Mike Korner

Gareth already handled the unladen swallow situation so let me just say …

Congratulations on being the bravest Kathleen!

Perhaps you should acquire a “Hi I’m Kathleen the Bravest” t-shirt?

I wholeheartedly agree with you that all the money in the world can’t make up for an unsatisfying day job. Amen!

    Hoorah for Bravest Kathleen!

    Wonderful!

Hey, thanks, Catherine! What a nice way to start my week after being offline for the weekend. You know, you’re pretty awesome yourself. :-)

If not for working in a quality department, I wouldn’t have had my near-dying experience and therefore wouldn’t be here. That said, I’m afraid these repeated smacks on my work history will have to be noted on your permanent record.

Oh, wait – that’s HR, not quality. Damn! ;-)

Hi Kathleen! Your company name and the medicine bottle and prescription and the formulary CRACK me up; I used to be-pardon me,work -in the pharmaceutical industry (now I am “being.) Even though as you said it’s not about the money, you’re right on it re the tonic for our personal and business spirits.

  • http://www.biznicillin.com Kathleen Jaffe

Hiya, Karen! Coincidentally enough, I worked in pharmaceuticals as well. Ironic, that was the job that nearly killed me! :-) Glad I was able to amuse: I’m aiming for that (and enlightenment, natch).

  • http://www.BeAwesomeOnline.com Catherine Caine

    What a lovely co-incidence!

This is true. Awesome high five!
