Hey, have you heard the news?
I have a new website! It's called Cash and Joy and its mission is to increase the awesomeness of the world - of course - through glorious and meaningful marketing.

Why did I focus on marketing? Because marketing can be the most fun and meaningful activity of your business instead of the most dreaded and icky... if you do it right.

Birthday thank-yous

On this side of the world it’s the 28th and that means:

and now seems like the perfect time to thank the many wonderful people who helped me.

The Dude

For new readers, The Dude is my partner of ten years: he doesn’t get mentioned regularly because he prefers to stay unnoticed and mysterious in the background. He fixed the audio files, brought me meals, and never complained at being abandoned for the last two months. He always stands by me and looks after me. Thank you, sweetheart.

My support crew

Gareth, for proofreading and being the first person to tell me that the resource was good.
Beth, for editing and making sure I answered the bigger questions.
Willie, for making an adorable illustration.
Mike Korner and Birdy, for saving me twenty hours of painstaking work at the time when I had the least brain to do it.
Iain, for helping me figure out pricing.
Kiwi Mike, for generously donating your resources, and keeping me in the loop.
Susan, for filling the gap with a resource I needed, right when I needed it!
Andrew, for offering his time and gifts in any way I saw fit to use them.
David B, for taking the initiative, and the notes.

My interviewees

Ash Amberge from themiddlefingerproject.org
Charlie Gilkey from productiveflourishing.com
Dave Navarro from thelaunchcoach.com and rockyourday.com
Fabeku Fatunmise from sankofasong.com

The promoters

… and any Remarkable or Buyer or commenter or Tweeter I might conceivably have missed. (I hope not!)

Do you know what the coolest part is?

There are more than sixty people I’ve just listed, people who have been supportive through to instrumental in helping me make this resource. Do you know how many of them I knew six months ago?

Two.

That’s what I’m grateful for as I blow out the candles. I reached out, put in the effort and built those relationships.

This launch is tiny next to the spectacular people who are cheering it on.

THANK YOU.

What a powerful proof that having brilliant content (and putting yourself out there, and engaging and helping people) can bring success. Your site is one of the SuperMostAwesome ones I’ve come across, and it’s just my difficulty managing my info stream that has kept me from being here more often. So glad I found you today!

    Thank you, Andrea! :)
